噪音污染
请阅读下面短文,并按照要求用英语写一篇150字左右的文章。
The latest research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows some 40 million Americans aged 20 to 69 suffer hearing damage from everyday loud noise, including heavy traffic, noisy restaurants, rock concerts, sporting events and loud music via earbuds(嵌入式耳机).
Among 12-to19-year-olds, researchers estimate some 17 percent show evidence of noise-induced hearing loss in one or both ears.
Part of the reason hearing damage is showing up earlier is today's improved portable devices. The sound level 28 years ago from the Walkman, with its flimsy headphones, was much lower than today’s high-fidelity smartphones with earbuds that deliver louder sound much closer to the eardrum.
A study that compared hearing tests of teens during the late '80s and '90s when Walkmans were popularwith tests in 2005 to 2006when iPods were all the ragefound the levels of mild hearing loss jumped 30 percent,

One possible version
With the living environment getting noisier, hearing damage induced by noise is growing among people, especially among adolescents who have a preference for personal music players.
Reducing noise pollution is both urgent and beneficial. First of all, we can cut back on traffic noise by using the car horn only when absolutely necessary and by keeping the car in good, quiet working order. Walking or biking instead of using a car whenever possible may have an even greater impact on noise in our area. Moreover, to avoid being part of the problem, we should keep our music down and unnoticeable as it may sound beautiful to us, but others might feel otherwise. What's more, we can turn off the electronics such as computers, game systems, televisions and the like, as they may still make noise when not in use, which can cause stress on the ears.
To protect our hearing from noise, we can turn down the volume while listening to music through the earbuds. Besides, we should limit our noise exposure because the more often the ears are exposed to damaging noise, the higher risk hearing damage occurs. Avoiding places with deafening music or ear-splitting crowd noise is a wise practice. Last but not least, the simplest but the most effective solution is to wear earplugs, which can bring sounds down to a manageable level.
