Warm Up
Welcome the students to the class and write name-tags for each person.

Introduce yourself and then ask students to introduce themselves. Ask them to include their favorite food.

Separate the students into 2-3 teams.

Title Page
Ask some warm up questions about the home page to gauge the students English level. For example ‘What can you buy in the grocery store?’, ‘How often do you go to the grocery store’.

New Words
Introduce the new words to the students and see if any of them already know any of the new words.

Read the sentence aloud to the students.

Use the word to make a new sentence.

Ask the students to make their own sentence with the word.

Story Time
Play the whole story once through and ask the students to listen to it.

Ask the students to read through by paragraph, correcting if any mistakes.

After reading go back to each page and ask questions about the content. For example ‘Does Ola know how to cook?

Ask them to answer the true or false listening questions

Language Structure
Go through the language structure and ask students to read through it

Review ‘There is’ and ‘There are’ grammar structure.

Review countable and uncountable nouns grammar structure.

Teacher can do a role play with the students, pretending they are shopkeepers or customers. Use props or flashcards. Ask the students ‘how many …. do you have?’. Students reply ‘I have ….’
老师可以与学生做角色扮演,假装他们是店主或客户。使用道具或卡片。问学生们有多少……你有吗?'。学生回答说:“我有……”
Activities
Look through ‘look, ask and answer’ activities. Ask students individually to answer the questions on the board.
期待通过“看、问和答的活动。要求学生单独回答课件上的问题。
Final Review
At the end of the demo class, have the students do a final review of the new words. Ask them Get the students to produce each of the words on their own. This shows the parents that within 45 minutes, the teacher is able to get the students to retain some of the class content.
在演示课结束,对学生的词汇掌握进行复查。让学生每一个单词都会呈现。这个部分是让家长能够看到老师在45分钟内就能让孩子们掌握课堂重点知识。

Demo Tips
Proper preparation prevents poor performance - know your content.
