Afghan media: at least 10 people were killed in chaos at Kabul Airport
On August 16, local time, Afghan Dawn TV reported that at least 10 people were killed in the chaos at Kabul’s Karzai International Airport that lasted from the evening of the 15th to the 16th.
The report quoted airport staff as saying that people learned of wrong airport civil aviation flight information and continued to flood in after all civil aviation flights at the airport were suspended, and most of them did not carry passports and other travel documents.
In addition, Dawn TV quoted sources as saying that when the chaos occurred, the U.S. and other countries' troops were present, trying to evacuate their own personnel, and fired shots to prevent people from entering after the influx of people, causing a mass stampede and causing casualties.
